On Thursday night Margot James – Conservative parliamentary candidate for Stourbridge appeared on BBC Question time! Margot, dubbed by the audience asĀ “the lady in pink”, appeared alongside Foreign office minister Chris Bryant, Liberal Democrat MP Lembit Opik, Trisha Godard and the editor of the Financial Times.
Margot was a success – questions were put to her on issues such as the War in Afghanistan and the issue of Helicopter numbers – or lack of. Other topics that were raised were Conservative policy on Anti-Social behaviour and the Swine Flu pandemic. Margot also used her appearance to high light the amount money Britain pays to the EU. She said the figure “is too high and that we should certainly be paying less.”
