Halesowen & Rowely Regis action day!

A date for the diary……………….

Halesowen (Location TBC)

Leafleting and Canvassing (Take your pick!)

The campaign in Halesowen is now really starting to gather momentum! The constituency vote in last months EU Elections saw the Conservatives top the polls. However – we all still have a lot of work to do in order to ensure that we can insert James Morris into parliament at the next General election. So please come along if you can – James is just the man for Halesowen and we must all lend our support!

For more details please contact us or James directly

Les Jones on Councillors’ pay increase …..

Cllr Les Jones, deputy leader of Dudley Council, has said in an interview with the Stourbridge news that the council’s decision to increase councillors’ salaries is not acceptable in the current climate and that “the timing stinks!” Cllr Jones says that he would like to see a national independent body to determine the pay and salary of local elected representatives. Councillors pay comes up for review every 3 years, until last week Dudley councillors have voted against a pay increase repeatidly – but last week 41 of 72 members decided that such a rise was needed.  The basic rate of pay has risen from £7,419 to £9,300 PA with Cabinet and commitee chairman also seeing rises in their allowances.

Being blue..

It always amuses me when you tell someone that you’re a Conservative. The look that you get is one of horror and disgust. They say that the Conservatives don’t care about us, they only care about the rich. They say that only ‘old’ moaning Daily Mail readers vote Conservative. I always ask why don’t you vote Conservative? They are a party of practicality, individuality and liberty. Practicality by living within our means, not paying for things that we cant afford. Individuality by giving power back to the people, by letting us, as individuals, choose what schools we want to learn at, what hospitals we want to be treated at, and what shops we want to shop at. Liberty by restricting the size of the state. Conservatives are traditionalists. They believe in a strong society built on strong communities, strong families and on a strong economy.

Do you know what Labour stands for? Labour is a ’state’ party. A party that believes in a big state and a small individual. Labour thinks that problems are solved by throwing money at them. Labour doesnt believe in success. They believe in higher taxes of nearly fifty percent for those that earn over £100,000. Labour’s motto should just be; ‘Labour, rewarding success since never’. Why? Why penalise success? Labour believe in high taxation. For what? We have a failing National Health Service, an education system that is rewarding failure and an Armed Forces which is under funded.

I could go on for ages. But I wont. I know moaning about problems won’t get them fixed. I know the only way to end the ineffective executive is to have a change of government.

Now For Change. Vote Conservative.

Chris, James & Margot lend support in Norwich North!

All three Dudley Borough Conservative PPCs (Margot James, Chris Kelly & James Morris) have both payed campaigning visits to the battle ground of this Thursday’s crucial by-election in Norwich North.

Conservatives look set to take the seat from Labour! Chloe Smith is the Tory candidate and has been praised widely by all wings of the Conservative Party as a great political prospect. Let’s just hope that she wins this Thursday, as yet another by-election defeat could possibly prove to be the final nail in Gordon’s coffin!
